Key Responsibilities
- CMM Programming & Operation: Write, edit, and optimize CMM routines using PC-DMIS to perform high-precision dimensional inspections on machined aerospace parts.
- First Article & Quality Inspections: Perform complete First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 guidelines. Utilize traditional measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators) to check tolerances.
- Non-Conformance & Root Cause Analysis: Issue non-conformance reports, investigate root causes of defects alongside cross-functional teams, and establish rework procedures to reduce scrap.
- Quality Systems Support: Support quality management systems (AS9100, FAA), recommend continuous improvement initiatives, and train shop floor personnel on inspection protocols.
- CMM Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS.
- Industry Experience: 5+ years in technical machining or programming, with at least 2–3 years dedicated to Quality Assurance (aerospace background preferred).
- Technical Skills: Mastery in reading blueprints, interpreting GD&T, and performing shop math (fractions, decimals). Advanced proficiency with hand measurement instruments.
- Education & ITAR: High School diploma or GED required (Associate degree in a technical field preferred). Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations.
- Physical & Environment: Ability to stand/walk manufacturing floors, read fine measurement markings, and lift up to 100 lbs with assistance or equipment in a shop environment.

- Non-Conformance & Root Cause Analysis: Initiate non-conformance records, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, and establish root-cause solutions to reduce scrap.
- Process Improvement: Support AS9100 and FAA compliance standards while applying Lean and Statistical Process Control techniques to optimize shop-floor quality.
- Experience: 5+ years in technical machining/programming with 2–3 years in Quality Assurance. Minimum 3 years of CMM programming in PC-DMIS. Aerospace background strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced blueprint reading, GD&T, and shop math (fractions/decimals). Proficient in MS Office; ERP software experience is a plus.
- Compliance & Education: HS Diploma/GED required (Associate degree in a technical field preferred). Must meet ITAR definition of a U.S. Person.
