Responsibilities
- Execution
Direct daily 2nd shift distribution operations, ensuring on-time delivery metrics, inventory accuracy, and smooth workflow transition between shifts. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to analyze productivity, identify bottlenecks, and maintain optimal operational throughput.
- Quality
Enforce robust quality control standards to meet and exceed order precision targets. Conduct regular operational audits and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory or process discrepancies quickly.
- Compliance
Ensure strict operational adherence to company policies, labor standards, industry regulations, and facility security practices.
- Leadership
Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of hourly distribution associates, fostering a positive workplace culture. Handle scheduling, resource allocation, performance evaluations, and continuous coaching to build shift capability.
- Safety
Maintain strict adherence to local, state, and OSHA safety regulations across all shift activities. Lead daily shift safety briefings, conduct incident investigations as needed, and proactively address hazards on the floor.
- Optimization
Identify cost-reduction opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, line balancing). Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) data to automate workflows and eliminate operational waste.
