In this role, you will be our frontline defense for product excellence—verifying first-piece parts, keeping shop travelers accurate, and ensuring our precision components exceed customer expectations every single time.
Position Details
- Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 / hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm

- Floor Inspections: Perform and record first-piece, in-process, and final mechanical inspections directly on the production floor.
- Incoming Materials: Inspect incoming raw stock and supplier parts against purchase order (PO) requirements to catch defects early.
- Job Traveler Audits: Verify control plans and ensure shop operators properly complete and sign off on all required quality paperwork.
- Maintain Standards: Drive strict adherence to ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality procedures and shop safety protocols.
- Collaborate & Problem-Solve: Work side-by-side with machinists and management to identify, communicate, and resolve non-conformances quickly.
- Blueprint Expertise: Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings, customer specifications, and GD&T.
- Precision Tools: Hands-on experience using Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and depth gauges.
- Technical Savvy: strong shop math skills and comfort using standard manufacturing software.
- Communication: Clear, constructive communication skills when collaborating with operators, managers, and vendors.
- Bonus Points: Experience working in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 environment or hands-on CMM operation/programming background.
