Responsibilities
Production Technician I
- Testing & Analysis: Conduct material characterization (moisture, viscosity, slip weight, shrinkage) and apply higher math to calculate metrics like surface areas and densities.
- Process Control: Interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and set up technical test equipment.
- Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot shop-floor production systems, log accurate technical data, and collaborate with engineering to boost yields and reduce cycle times.
- Machinery & Inspection: Set up, fine-tune, and operate complex machinery for technical ceramics and metals; perform quality checks using CMMs, SmartScopes, calipers, and micrometers.
- Technical Blueprinting: Read intricate blueprints using Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Leadership & Operations: Manage shop-floor inventory transfers, enforce cleanroom/safety standards, and mentor incoming operators.
