This is not a general facility or building maintenance role. We are looking for a true controls and industrial mechanical technician capable of diagnosing complex automated machinery, 480V 3-phase electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and pneumatic controls down to the root cause. Responsibilities
- Electrical & Power Systems: Troubleshoot, install, and repair 480V/120V 3-phase power distribution networks, electric motors, motor starters, control circuits, transformers, and industrial disconnects.
- Automation & Controls: Connect to, diagnose, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) (e.g., Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens). Trace ladder logic, modify parameters, and identify faulty inputs/outputs, sensors, and encoders.
- Drive Systems: Install, program, calibrate, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and servo systems.
- Conveyor & Mechanical Systems: Maintain and repair high-speed material handling equipment, belt/roller/chain conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, power transmissions, and drive chains.
- Pneumatic Systems: Diagnose and repair pneumatic circuits, air cylinders, solenoids, pressure regulators, air compressors, and vacuum systems.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Complete scheduled PMs on automated machinery, conduct thermal imaging/vibration checks where applicable, and drive continuous improvement on equipment uptime.
- Root Cause Analysis: Perform rapid emergency repairs during production downtime and document root-cause failures to prevent recurrence.
