Position Overview Are you an experienced industrial electronics expert with a background in computerized equipment and automation controls? We are seeking an Electronic Technician A to install, maintain, and repair all electronic and computer components across our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will work independently to troubleshoot complex systems, perform preventative maintenance, and minimize equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Electronic Maintenance: Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic devices and computer control systems with minimal supervision.
- PLC & Motor Controls: Program and troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, machinery sensors, and AC/DC drives.
- System Retrofitting: Retrofit machine control systems, install motor controllers, and update control software.
- Schematics & Compliance: Read, modify, and create electrical schematics while adhering to the National Electrical Code.
- Preventative Maintenance: Identify potential electrical or computerized failures through routine maintenance inspections.
- Parts & Collaboration: Advise the Maintenance Manager on technical solutions and order repair parts via the PO system.
- Education & Experience: High school diploma/GED with 2–3 years of technical training; 2–4 years in electronics with 2+ years in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Certifications: Forklift certification required (must operate genie boom and scissor lifts); Electrician license reflecting NEC knowledge preferred.
- Testing: Must pass audiometric and pulmonary testing.
- Skills & Tools: Own a personal set of electrical hand tools; computer literacy, basic math/reading/writing skills, and tape measure proficiency.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends, holidays, and short-notice call-ins.
- Frequent standing (up to 10 hours), reaching, repetitive overhead work, tool gripping, and working in confined spaces, heights, or temperature extremes.

Responsibilities
- Must be certified forklift, genie boom, and scissor lift operator.
- Advises Maintenance Manager of electrical/mechanical problems and suggest recommendations as a solution.
- Must have the ability to build, maintain, and repair all electronic and computerized systems as directed with little or no supervision.
- Uses the established purchase order system to order repair parts as required.
- Must have proven experience or training in the repair, design, and installation of electronic devices for machinery and electronic control systems.
- Must have knowledge of the national Electrical Code with preferable license to reflect experience in its use.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers, motor controls, and all types of machinery sensors and equipment to include PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Ability to retrofit machine control systems, read, modify, and create machinery electrical schematics.
- Installation, repair, and retrofitting of motor controllers to include all types of motor AC and DC drives, and systems.
- Highly computer literate for the maintaining of machine control systems software and upgrades.
- Must have the ability to recognize problems before they occur through the use of a preventative maintenance program.
- Picking up trash and other discarded items.
- Other duties as assigned by supervision or management.
