Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning centers to manufacture precision components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and work instructions.
- Load programs, tooling, fixtures, and raw materials according to established procedures.
- Make offsets and appropriate tooling adjustments to maintain dimensional requirements.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, bore gauges, and optical measurement equipment.
- Identify and correct machining issues, including dimensional variation, tool wear, burrs, surface-finish problems, and other defects.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Follow established work instructions, quality procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and communicate equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing personnel to resolve production and quality issues.
- Follow all applicable company procedures related to medical-device manufacturing, traceability, contamination control, and product quality.
- Participate in continuous-improvement activities focused on quality, productivity, safety, and process consistency.
