Key Responsibilities
- Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming freight for damage, unload goods, and accurately pack, label, and prepare outgoing shipments according to carrier specifications.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Draft and verify shipping paperwork (BOLs, packing slips, commercial invoices) and maintain real-time inventory entries in our Warehouse Management System (WMS/ERP).
- Inventory Control: Conduct periodic cycle counts, track stock movements, identify discrepancies, and maintain an organized, cataloged storage area.
- Carrier & Vendor Coordination: Schedule pickups and deliveries with couriers and 3PL providers, track transit statuses, and resolve minor delivery delays.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized dock area and enforce transport, safety, and HazMat handling standards.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with WMS/ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl) and basic proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge: Understanding of standard logistics paperwork (BOLs, customs documentation, shipping labels).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for extended periods, and safely operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Core Competencies: Attention to detail, clear communication skills, and effective time management.
