Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming raw metal inventory, sheet stock, and hardware shipments
- Verify shipment quantities, match packing slips to purchase orders, and report discrepancies or damaged goods
- Package, strap, crate, and label finished metal assemblies and architectural products for secure transit
- Log all incoming and outgoing inventory into system records and maintain accurate warehouse stock levels
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead material handling equipment to stage materials
- Assist the shop fabrication team with sheet metal cutting, grinding, deburring, drilling, and prep work
- Perform light metal assembly, fitting, and custom fabrication support according to shop orders
- Safely operate a 24-foot box truck or 1-ton van on an occasional, as-needed basis to deliver products across the 5 boroughs
- Plan efficient delivery routes through city traffic when driving duties are assigned for the day
- Keep the shipping dock, warehouse storage areas, and fabrication shop floors clean, organized, and safe
