Responsibilities
- Inbound Freight & Receiving: Unload delivery trucks (LTL, FTL, parcel carriers) using sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, and hand trucks. Inspect incoming shipments for damage, verify counts against bill of lading (BOL) and purchase orders, and report discrepancies immediately.
- Outbound Shipping: Safely load completed industrial mixers, parts, and machinery onto flatbeds, box trucks, and shipping containers. Prepare wood crating, banding, and palletizing as needed for heavy equipment.
- Documentation & Logistics: Generate shipping labels, packing slips, commercial invoices, and BOLs. Coordinate pickup schedules with freight forwarders, parcel carriers (UPS/FedEx), and local trucking partners.
- ERP & Inventory System: Accurately log receipts and shipments in the company’s ERP system (e.g., SAP, Infor, or internal software). Keep real-time records of stock movements within the facility.
- Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure all incoming raw materials (raw steel, custom machined parts, electrical components) meet incoming quality specs before routing to inventory or production bays. Maintain a clean, safe, organized loading dock and warehouse space.
