Responsibilities
- Unload incoming trucks and trailers containing pallets, Gaylords, and postal sacks; verify bill of lading (BOL) documents and inspect shipments for damage.
- Sort parcels, mailbags, and packages by destination country, postal code, or service level using barcode scanners and automated/manual sorting lines.
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks (manual and electric), forklifts, tuggers, and hand trucks to transport goods across processing areas.
- Build, band, wrap (shrink-wrap), and weigh pallets and Gaylord containers to prepare them for air freight and ground dispatch.
- Scan package barcodes into Asendia’s warehouse management system (WMS) to update tracking data, generate pallet tags, and maintain inventory accuracy.
