If you know the difference between a cold joint and a perfect concave fillet, and you treat IPC standards as your personal code of honor, we want you on our bench.
- The Architect: Translate complex engineering schematics, BOMs, and assembly drawings into functioning reality. You’ll prep, bend, and seat every resistor, capacitor, and IC with exact precision.
- The Craftsman: Execute flawless manual hand-soldering on complex through-hole assemblies. You will master temperature profiles, flux application, and liquid metal to create robust, reliable connections. (You'll also run point on selective and wave soldering machinery when the job calls for it).
- The Surgeon: Not every board comes out perfect the first time. You’ll use hot-air tools, solder wick, and suction pumps to perform surgical desoldering and rework—rescuing high-value assemblies without damaging a single pad.
- The Eagle Eye: Act as your own toughest critic. Armed with a microscope and J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 standards, you’ll inspect your work to ensure zero defects, zero bridging, and 100% reliability before it ever hits the QA department.
- The Guardian: Protect the hardware. You’ll maintain a pristine, 5S-organized workstation, rigorously enforce ESD protocols, and keep your irons tinned and your fume extractors humming.

Responsibilities
- Interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, schematics, and bill of materials (BOM) to determine component values and orientation.
- Prep, bend leads, and insert through-hole components—such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, ICs, transformers, and connectors—into designated PCB locations.
- Route jumper wires, cables, and hardware according to engineering specifications.
- Perform precision manual hand soldering on through-hole components using temperature-controlled soldering irons and flux.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and monitoring of selective soldering or wave soldering machinery where automated processes are used.
- Clean flux residue and route completed assemblies for post-soldering cleaning processes.
- Apply IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship standards to identify and reject defects like cold joints, solder bridging, voids, or pinholes.
