Responsibilities
- Prepare and load outgoing LTL and truckload shipments using sit-down forklift, pallet jack, or manually in a safe, efficient manner
- Measure and record weight and dimensions of all outgoing shipments
- Count and verify prepared shipments, ensuring orders are complete and all products are accounted for per the work order
- Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary
- Receive incoming shipments by unloading, unpacking, and examining for accurate quantity and routing to proper area in warehouse
- Performs required administrative tasks and recordkeeping through daily shipping checklist
- Participates in quality improvement efforts
- Perform work associated with warehousing, material handling, and other related duties as assigned by Shipping Manager
- Must be able consistently lift 50-60lbs overhead for stacking boxes. This is physically demanding 60% Manually moving material and 40% on a forklift.
- Must be able to work in a non climate environment
