job summary:
This position is for a skilled production worker in a food processing/manufacturing environment. The Production Associate I is responsible for assisting in all areas on the production floor, ensuring production timelines are met and GMPs are followed. This role must spend significant amounts of time in our freezer/mixing room and must be able to perform consistent heavy lifting. The Production Associate I also contribute in the packaging areas on the floor. Experience on a production line is preferred. Consistent attendance and flexibility required, as overtime is often needed. Job Duties/Requirements: Lifting 40lbs independently and 100lbs as a team lift Push a 200lb wheeled cart or machinery Repetitive use of shovel with 20lb of weight Fast paced consistent motion of lifting, pushing and pulling from 20 to 40lb Capable of walking up and down of step ladders safely Able to keep pace of production paced demand per work cell Able to operate production machines at paced demand Freezer exposure work environment for up to 2-hour increments Complete all paperwork accurately associated with the work cell Ability to multi-task in an organized manner Use of electric pallet jack Palletizing and packing when not in the mix room/freezer Complete all paperwork accurately associated with the work cell Ensures the necessary sanitation requirements to support the needs of Production through such items as proper documentation, chemicals, materials, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Participates in maintaining Sanitation practices that meet or exceed internal, regulatory and customer expectations Under the direction of management, coordinates the cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, to include accurate maintenance of cleaning records of sanitation performance Other duties as assigned
