We are looking for an experienced Weekend Forklift & Cherry Picker Operator to join our elite logistics crew. In a furniture distribution center, accuracy and safety at high elevations are everything. Our inventory is large, heavy, and stored in high-bay racking, meaning we need operators with precision control, a sharp focus, and excellent spatial awareness. Key Responsibilities High-Elevation Maneuvering: Safely and skillfully operate stand-up cherry pickers (order pickers) and high-reach forklifts to store and retrieve furniture items from high-bay racking systems. Precision Inventory Control: Locate, pick, and stage large, bulky furniture pieces (e.g., sofas, mattresses, case goods) efficiently using warehouse management systems (WMS) or RF scanners. Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Put away incoming inventory into designated high-reach slots and pull scheduled items for delivery, ensuring zero damage to the product. Safety & Maintenance: Perform mandatory pre-shift equipment inspections, report mechanical issues immediately, and maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety guidelinesincluding proper use of safety harnesses and fall protection. Workspace Ownership: Coordinate with weekend loading and staging crews to keep the warehouse aisles clear, organized, and running efficiently. What We Are Looking For (Job Requirements) Proven Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verified experience operating stand-up cherry pickers and high-reach lifts (experience in a furniture or large-format goods warehouse is highly preferred). Comfort at Heights: Must be completely comfortable working on elevated platforms up to [Insert height, e.g., 30-40 feet] while harnessed. Physical Capability: Ability to confidently handle the heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of bulky furniture items (up to [Insert weight, e.g., 75+ lbs] safely, often collaborating with a teammate).
