As an ICU RN, you'll play a critical role in delivering advanced nursing care to critically ill patients while collaborating with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team.
-Provide comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
-Perform ongoing, detailed assessments and promptly identify changes in patient condition
-Administer medications, continuous infusions, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital policy
-Manage and monitor advanced medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps
-Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and care team members to achieve positive patient outcomes
-Educate patients and families with compassion regarding critical care treatments and plans of care
-Respond promptly and professionally to patient needs, alarms, and call lights
-Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies and life-threatening situations
-Maintain a clean, organized, and healing patient environment
-Participate in unit-based Quality Assurance, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
-Support the orientation and training of new staff and nursing students as requested
-Practice within the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
What We're Looking For
-Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred
-Active RN license eligible to practice in Wisconsin
-Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
-ACLS certification preferred or required within a defined timeframe
-Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
-Ability to safely use advanced patient care equipment and meet physical and cognitive job demands
-Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Pay & Differentials
-$33.50 - $57.50 per hour, based on experience
-Evening and night shift differentials
-Weekend Program differential available
