Radiology Technician Surgery Responsibilities:
-Independently perform standard radiographic procedures in all settings.
-Provide specialized mobile imaging in the operating room, emergencies, and inpatient settings.
-Ensure high-quality intraoperative and bedside imaging.
-Assists with departmental coverage at one or more satellite facilities; weekend; holiday and on-call coverage as required.
-Independently handle, operate, and troubleshoot all equipment, including setup for C-Arm daily and case-specific use.
-Perform C-Arm imaging while maintaining sterile technique and assisting with patient positioning.
-Execute standard, emergent and portable exams across all settings, prioritizing imaging needs efficiently.
-Maintain accurate imaging study documentation within electronic medical records and department-specific systems for timely and organized recordkeeping.
-Collaborate with department teams to facilitate smooth procedural workflows.
-Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed.
-Ensures patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam.
-Mentor students, participate in staff orientation, and assist in ongoing training and competency evaluations.
-Contribute to quality assurance by auditing images, upholding imaging standards, and collaborating on protocol development.
-Notify leadership and coordinate with vendors and biomedical teams to resolve technical issues and maintain equipment functionality
-Adhere to radiation safety protocols and adapt to procedural changes while maintaining a high level of professionalism and patient care
Radiology Technician Surgery Requirements:
-Associate degree: Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited certification program in Radiologic Technology
-One year of radiologic technologist experience (preferred)
-Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
-Licensed Radiographer in the State of Wisconsin.
-American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T) registered.
-Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire.
Salary Range:
-Up to $39.50/hr (based on experience)
-Night and evening shift differential
