We are seeking a dedicated and versatile RN to join our clinical team. The primary focus of this role is to support our allergy services division. In addition to primary allergy duties, this position provides vital general clinical support across the practice during peak hours, staff absences, or whenever an extra hand is needed.
The ideal candidate delivers exceptional patient care under provider supervision, blending strong clinical skills with efficient administrative execution.
Key Responsibilities
Allergy & General ENT Clinical Support
Primary Focus: Manage and support day-to-day allergy services and patient care.
Patient Intake: Room patients, take vitals, and prepare examination rooms for visits.
Provider Assistance: Assist physicians with medication administration, diagnostic testing, and specialized in-office ENT procedures.
Lab Operations: Prepare laboratory specimens, perform basic in-office lab tests, and manage sterilization equipment and logs.
Patient Communication: Contact patients regarding clinical inquiries, lab results, and essential pre- and post-operative instructions.
Triage: Responsibly triage patient phone calls and portal messages according to established practice protocols.
Care Coordination: Obtain prior authorizations for both in-office and external procedures; gather and forward complete clinical information for hospital consults.
Inventory & Tracking: Maintain clinical inventory, keep exam rooms fully stocked, and update patient tracking/visit documentation in the EMR.
Administrative & EMR Management
Documentation: Accurately log all patient conversations, clinical questions, portal tasks, and relevant interactions in the EMR.
Chart Prepping: Audit charts prior to appointments to ensure all necessary test results, imaging, and operative reports are available; proactively retrieve missing data.
Scheduling & Phones: Assist with scheduling/rescheduling appointments, answering phones, returning messages, and responding to faxes in a timely manner.
Records & Forms: Update required patient forms (Consent, HIPAA, Financial, Demographics) and process HIPAA-compliant release-of-information requests.
Care Continuity: Schedule laboratory tests and ensure results are filed correctly. Document patient no-shows and route charts/tasks to the provider for review.

Efficiency: Complete all assigned tasks, provider orders, and administrative duties accurately within established practice timelines.
