We're looking for a seasoned Technical Business Analyst to spearhead the assessment and optimization of enterprise-level tools. This individual will play a key role in strengthening organizational effectiveness in areas such as workflow automation, strategy execution tracking, financial performance analytics, alignment of teams and objectives, and OKR measurement. Success in this role hinges on a mix of sharp analytical skills, deep technical insight, and a solid history of driving impactful process enhancements.

responsibilities:
- Tool Evaluation & Selection:
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis of leading software solutions for workflow tracking, project/portfolio management, strategy execution, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), organizational design, and OKR management.
- Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with stakeholders from various departments (e.g., Operations, Finance, Product, HR, Leadership).
- Develop rigorous evaluation criteria, scorecards, and proof-of-concept scenarios for candidate tools.
- Facilitate vendor demonstrations, manage RFPs/RFQs, and lead technical deep-dives to assess system architecture, integration capabilities, scalability, and security.
- Present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership, outlining pros, cons, costs, and strategic fit for each solution.
- Requirements Elicitation & Analysis:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable technical requirements.
- Document current-state processes and pain points, and propose optimized future-state workflows.
- Create detailed user stories, use cases, process flows, and data models.
- Strategic Alignment & OKR Integration:
- Understand and document the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
- Identify how new tools can support the cascading of strategy into actionable initiatives and track progress against OKRs at all levels.
- Facilitate discussions to align operational workflows with strategic imperatives.
- Financial Tracking & Integration:
- Assess tools' capabilities for financial tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring integration with existing financial systems (e.g., ERP, accounting software).
- Work with finance teams to ensure tools meet compliance and reporting requirements.
- Organizational Alignment & Work Management:
- Analyze how different teams and departments collaborate and identify tools that foster cross-functional alignment and efficient work distribution.
- Evaluate features for resource planning, capacity management, and dependency tracking.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or Solutions Consultant, with a strong focus on enterprise software evaluation and implementation.
- Demonstrated experience with tools and methodologies for:
- Workflow Tracking: Project Management (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello), PPM tools (e.g. Smartsheet).
- Strategy to Execution Tracking: Strategic Planning visualization software
- Financial Tracking: Familiarity with FP&A tools, budgeting software, and integration with ERP systems (e.g. Workday).
- Organizational Alignment: Experience with tools that support aligning current workload to corporate priorities.
- OKR Tracking: Hands-on experience with OKR frameworks and associated software.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough needs assessments, gather requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to senior executives.
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (e.g., PMP, CSM) is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) to analyze and present tool evaluation data.
- Familiarity with integration technologies (APIs, ETL) and data mapping concepts.
- Understanding of information security and data privacy principles.
