job summary:
The IT Operations Analyst is responsible for the first level of support for desktop computer hardware, software, peripherals, printers and network devices in our manufacturing and general office areas. The position is expected to follow and enhance standard operating procedures while collaborating with peers to ensure efficient technology operations. This position also provides implementation of operational processes, technology and security measures while maintaining written operational, configuration, and other end user documentation procedures to ensure manufacturing and end-user productivity is optimized.

responsibilities:
Responsible for the installation and configuration of desktop computer hardware, software, peripherals and printers in the manufacturing (primary) and office areas (secondary) using standard procedures
- Provide first level support for manufacturing and business processes including desktops, laptops, thin clients, mobile devices, hand scanners, peripherals and supported software applications
- Provide first level support of network devices including switches and wireless devices
- Maintain written operational, configuration or other procedures including end user
documentation and training
- Follow the ITIL set of best practices for performing Incident, Asset, Change and Problem management
- Participates in the planning, testing and implementation of IT hardware, application and user security measures to protect computer systems, networks, data and employees. This includes security vulnerability remediations that have been identified by security reporting features and alerts
- Supports the Project Manager in the provision of planning, plan realization and service
delivery oversight. Liaises with internal customers and business partners throughout the
project
- Participates in project meetings, feasibility studies and business cases and product
evaluations that align with business needs
- Identifies requirements risks, project risks, critical issues and conducts analysis to resolve or provide recommendation for resolution
- Other duties, as assigned

Bachelor's degree or enrollment in upper division post-secondary education relating to
Information Systems.
- Desire to become an enterprise technologist by working with and learning from technology and security mentors within the enterprise.
- Clear, concise and precise written and verbal communication skills to effectively
communicate with people of various backgrounds including non-technical audiences.
- Superior customer service orientation, excellent analytical and interpersonal skills and
proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Previous enterprise IT Team experience.
- Certifications in any of the following are a plus: Service Desk (CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365,
etc.), ITIL.
- End user computing devices including Windows, Android and iOS.
- Experience in Level 1 and/or Level 2 user support (RemedyForce or similar ITSM tool).
- Networking including Routing and Switching (Cisco, Meraki) and Wireless technologies.
- Cloud technologies (Public, Private, Dedicated, Hybrid).
- Understanding of ITIL best practices processes such as Incident, Asset, Change and Problem management
