SUMMARY OF DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position reports to the Senior Manager of the PPNR Model Development team within the Treasury and Financial Modeling group. This role is responsible for analyzing, manipulating, and synthesizing data from various sources and transforming it into meaningful insights to support loan balance forecasting for stress testing purposes, in compliance with internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support partners and stakeholders in interpreting and analyzing data
- Build automated tools and data extraction processes for both development and production use
- Develop and maintain complex data models using industry-standard modeling tools
- Develop and maintain complex ETL jobs and frameworks using standard enterprise tools
- Acquire and maintain expert knowledge of data through profiling, quality reporting, and metadata management
- Support the acquisition, ingestion, and documentation of data in compliance with enterprise data standards, policies, and guidelines
- Articulate complex, large-scale, and high-impact technical design and development details to non-technical business partners
- Provide support to development and testing teams to resolve data issues, including escalations on complex problems
- Elicit, analyze, and interpret business and data requirements to develop complete business solutions-including data models (ERDs, dimensional models), ETL logic, business rules, data life-cycle management, governance, lineage, and metadata
- Collaborate with business partners (data providers, platform teams, IT, Finance, Treasury, Model Validation, etc.) to ensure accuracy and soundness of model development, implementation, and execution

MUST HAVE:
Ideal candidate - someone with strong experience in data manipulation and transformation, backed by business acumen and prior commercial lending experience. Candidates with a research background (published academic work) and strong critical thinking/problem-solving skills will stand out.
- 5-10 years of experience in advanced data analytics (data manipulation and transformation)
- 5-10 years of experience with programming languages such as SAS, Python, SQL, VBA
- 5-10 years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Computer Science/Actuarial Science/Finance/Engineering).

- Previous banking or financial services experience
- Experience with predictive modeling and data model governance
- Experience working with commercial loans/products or retail lending
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and Microsoft Azure
