We have a 3 month contract opportunity for a Talent Development Project Lead in Northern California. There will be occasional onsite meetings in the Sacramento and Bay area so candidates must be located within the driving distance to Sacramento and the Bay Area.
Job Description:
Plays a key role in designing and implementing strategic programs that expand the healthcare workforce through academic partnerships, student training, and professional development initiatives. This position is responsible for leading high-impact projects that align with organizational growth priorities, improve access to care, and strengthen the talent pipeline. The Consultant also contributes to sustainability planning by identifying external funding opportunities, developing grant proposals, and managing grant-related deliverables. This role works closely with clinical, HR, and academic partners across the enterprise to drive innovation, secure resources, and ensure long-term program success.

responsibilities:
Lead and support the development and execution of workforce programs including externships, clinical placements, certificate training, and upskilling pathways.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., HR, Talent Acquisition, Clinical Education, Operations) and academic institutions to align programming with current and future workforce needs.
Collaborate on the development and submission of grant proposals to secure funding for workforce development initiatives; support post-award implementation, tracking, and reporting.
Monitor labor market data and internal workforce trends to inform strategy, identify opportunities, and drive data-informed decision-making.
Design scalable solutions and toolkits to enhance program delivery and improve student and employee experiences.
Represent the organization in external partnerships, academic advisory boards, and workforce development collaboratives.
Create presentations, briefings, and outcome reports to inform leadership and support stakeholder engagement.
Ensure program compliance with internal policies, contractual terms, and regulatory/accreditation requirements.

Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
Strong skills in data analysis, presentation development, and strategic communication.
Knowledge of healthcare workforce trends and educational pipelines preferred.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Public Health, Education, Business, or related field strongly preferred.
