job summary:
For this contractor assignment in our IT Commercial Lines Core Auto Delivery team, you'll support key business initiatives by delivering support for the platform's Experience functionality. This contractor will use programming, analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaboration skills on innovative projects impacting internal customers, agents and employees. Will be assigned to Agile teams for production fixes and new business feature enhancements in Duck Creek.

responsibilities:
- Analyzes requirements for software programs or application enhancements
- Creates detailed programming specifications
- Writes or modifies code for complex software programs, components, or applications
- Performs development testing and audits results
- Supports and maintains software programs, components, or applications in a production environment
- Creates and maintains documentation
- Provides input and advice to others in designing or programming best practices
qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum four years of related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
- In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher, the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of four years related work experience.
- In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and a minimum of six years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
skills: Required Skills:
- Proficient in C# .NET language, MS SQL Server, XML, XSLT, Visual Studio
- Experience in Duck Creek Field Engineering
- Experience using Git with Visual Studio
- Experience working with Microsoft technology stack (Windows Server, Visual Studio, TFS, ADO pipelines)
- Excellent communication skills - listening, verbal and written
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignment simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Strong leadership skills
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with others to establish common goals
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Commercial Lines Insurance business
- Experience with Agile, LEAN and SCRUM preferred
- Experience with FlagR
- Prior use of REST, SoapUI, Power Shell, and/or Postman
