POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive AWS IAM Subject Matter Expert to lead the transformation of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities within AWS. This role is critical to establishing centralized IAM governance, implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and driving automation in a complex cloud environment.

responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architect and implement a centralized IAM authority with standardized processes across AWS environments.
- Design and deploy formal RBAC frameworks to streamline access provisioning and reduce risk.
- Develop and integrate automated access review capabilities to support compliance and operational efficiency.
- Lead the implementation of Temporary Elevated Access Management (TEAM) solutions to ensure secure and time-bound privileged access.
- Identify and execute opportunities for IAM automation, reducing manual effort and improving scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IAM strategies with business and security objectives.
- Provide expert guidance and hands-on support for IAM-related initiatives, audits, and incident response.
qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- 5-10+ years of experience with AWS IAM, including policy creation, role management, and identity federation.
- 1+ year Architect Level experience - has built a comprehensive solution with AWS IAM....can help modernize and automate environment
- Enterprise Level experience
- Deep understanding of RBAC, access reviews, and privileged access management.
- Proven experience with IAM automation tools such as AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar.
- Familiarity with TEAM concepts and implementation strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex, multi-account AWS environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
