job summary:
The individual will be supporting the System test engineering work and maintenance of test automation in Billing for the service management org and provide support to projects in flights while our current system test engineer is unavailable. Contractor will be maintaining and potentially building new solutions.

responsibilities:
- Analyze Automation Splunk results to extract key insights and troubleshoot any issues.
- Retest failing test cases to verify accuracy, reliability, and functionality.
- Work closely with the QA team to address and resolve identified issues.
- Participate actively in sprint meetings to stay aligned with team goals and progress.
- Develop new automation scripts or enhance existing ones using C#, SpecFlow, and MSTest to meet updated requirements.
- Ensure scheduled tasks and automated jobs are running as expected and troubleshoot any failures or delays.
- Monitor test environments to ensure they are functioning correctly and escalate issues as needed.
- Document findings, and resolutions to maintain transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Provide regular updates on progress and challenges to manager.
- API Development: Proven experience in creating APIs or stored procedures to support system integration and data management workflows.
- Splunk Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Splunk, including analyzing and interpreting data, troubleshooting issues, and leveraging insights to drive process improvements.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS) and a minimum four years of related work experience designing, programming, testing and supporting software programs and applications.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of six years related work experience designing, programming, testing and supporting software programs or applications may be accepted
skills: - Proficiency in C#
- Proficiency using SpecFlow, MSTest, Postman
- Proficiency with XML and JSON parsing (training on ReqNRoll can be provided).
- Experience with task schedule and PowerShell script
- Proficiency with Splunk
- Solid understanding of SOLID principles and their application in test development.
- Proven experience developing automation frameworks or tools.
- Proven API experience creating API's and or stored procedures.
- Mocking testing
