We are seeking a Server Specialist III to join our IT Server Operations team. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in server operations, NOC monitoring, and infrastructure support. The Server Specialist will monitor system health, respond to incidents, troubleshoot servers, and communicate clearly across teams to maintain operational efficiency and reliability.

- Monitor infrastructure health using tools like SolarWinds Orion and Dynatrace.
- Respond to alerts and incidents promptly, escalating when necessary.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting for Windows and Linux servers in physical and virtual environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support.
- Manage support tickets and coordinate with vendor teams as needed.
- Execute maintenance tasks, validate system checkouts, and suppress alert noise.
- Provide clear updates during shift handoffs and operational briefings.
- Apply server security best practices and respond to vulnerability alerts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, assets, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to process improvements and preventive measures to enhance system reliability.
qualifications:
Required:
3+ years of experience in NOC or server operations.
Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
Experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools.
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work set shifts and participate in on-call rotations.
Preferred:
Experience with SolarWinds Orion, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring platforms.
Exposure to VMware or Hyper-V virtualization.
Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator.
Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell or Bash.
