Senior Data Analyst to bridge the gap between complex business needs and advanced analytical solutions. This pivotal contract-to-hire role is centered on driving our most complex data initiatives, with a strong focus on advanced analytics and the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the organization.
The ideal candidate is an analytical expert who can lead requirements gathering, translate technical output into business strategy, and act as a key communicator and technical partner for executive and cross-functional teams.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities Technical Translation & Project Leadership
- Lead complex analytical projects, owning the translation of high-level business problems into precise technical requirements and analytical tools.
- Act as the primary interface between the Data Analytics team and various business units (e.g., Customer Service, Operations) to define project scope and deliverables.
- Proactively seek out information from stakeholders, including setting up meetings and reaching out with questions, to ensure complete and accurate requirements definition.
- Translate analytical findings and model output into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations that drive strategic business decisions.
- Act as another face of the Data Analytics team, promoting its value and building strong, collaborative partnerships across the organization.
- Break down the understanding of complex AI/ML concepts for non-technical audiences and find ways to integrate AI capabilities into existing business processes.
- Partner with the team responsible for building new reports and ensure reports and dashboards align perfectly with business needs and requirements.
- Utilize advanced SQL and analytical skills to query data, validate results, and support complex analysis.
- Ensure all data initiatives, especially those involving customer/patient data, adhere strictly to compliance and regulatory standards.
- Apply knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and analytical processes to effectively communicate insights.
qualifications:
Experience & Business Acumen
7+ years of progressive experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or a related Business Systems role.
5+ years of demonstrated strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of operational processes and strategic objectives.
Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills, with proven experience partnering with and discussing findings with executive-level team members.
Technical Skills
Advanced SQL experience for data analysis, profiling, and validation.
Proficiency in Python for analysis and scripting (familiarity with ML libraries is a plus).
Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI and Tableau.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Experience with predictive modeling and statistical methods (defining requirements, validating output, or a conceptual understanding is highly valued).
Experience in the Insurance industry.
Experience with Azure cloud platform and tools.
Familiarity with Power Automate and Visual Studio.
