Job Duties - This role involves installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software, monitoring system performance, and ensuring security through the implementation of firewalls, antivirus programs, and access controls. The System Administrator troubleshoots technical issues, performs regular system backups, and restores data as needed to minimize downtime. Additionally, they collaborate with other IT staff to plan and execute system upgrades, enforce IT policies, and provide technical support to users, ensuring the smooth and secure operation of all IT services.

Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems

- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls

- Implement and maintain security measures, including switches and antivirus software

- Perform regular system backups and data recovery operations

- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and provide technical assistance to IT team

- Apply software patches, updates, and system upgrades and provide technical assistance to IT team

- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes

- Collaborate with IT team members to plan and execute infrastructure improvements

- Provide technical support and training to end-users

- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and industry regulations

- Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities

Job Requirements - - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) + 6 years of experience.

- Understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and networking.

- Familiarity with server installation, configuration, and maintenance

- Understanding of security principles and best practices

- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues

- Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures

- Familiarity and experience with Aruba networks

- Security +

Desired Skills & Experience - - Knowledge of common scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)

- Basic certifications such as CompTIA A+, Security +, Network+, or Microsoft Certified:
