job summary:
This role would include project management, team management and coordination for institutional and leadership social media channels. The position would work closely with and under the supervision of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Content Strategy, who would assume official supervisory responsibility for the social media team and assist with team decision making.

responsibilities:
· Team Leader and Prioritization: Serve as a manager for the social media team (two full-time staff). Organize and coordinate upcoming work, weekly plans and daily content.
· Project Coordination: Provide guidance to project teams, managing tasks, scope, and timeline. Serve as social media lead in editorial and project scoping and planning discussions, connecting with the social media team as social channel experts.
· Internal and Stakeholder Communication: Act as a social media representative and primary point of contact for the social media team, ensuring clear communication to the team, assigning roles to and making connections for the social media team.
· Additional communications strategy and social media responsibilities possible, if aligns with skills and experiences.
qualifications:
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a minimum of two years' experience supervising or managing full-time staff.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with a minimum of two years' experience setting project goals, scope, and timeline, as well as regularly reporting on project status and forecasting team workload.
- Minimum of two years' experience using Asana or similar project management platform.
Skills Preferred:
- Experience in communications, marketing or related field
- Experience with social media content and posting
- Experience with higher education or executive communications a plus
- Creativity, curiosity, flexibility
