job summary:
We are seeking a well-experienced Mainframe Software Developer with skills and expertise in application Modernization, specifically with interfaces between Legacy mainframe and Distributed applications. In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture solution, design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions that support our CABPT processing capabilities. The person should be well versed with AI coding tools & Agentic AI and has a positive inclination to utilize AI to increase productivity.

responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for modernization.

 Enthusiasm to learn and utilize AI for improving your productivity.

 Familiarity with building interfaces between Legacy and modern distributed applications

 Be able to contribute to solutioning, Design and implementation of modernization strategies for legacy applications, including mainframe migration and refactoring, mainframe callouts to Distributed platforms.

 Evaluate existing legacy systems and propose solutions for improving performance, scalability, and maintainability.

 Develop and maintain automated processes for legacy application, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

 Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to legacy application modernization.

 Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, platform teams, Architects and other domain teams.

 Ability to act as a mentor for the technical team, providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to other developers looking to augment their skillsets with Mainframe and Distributed Technologies.

 Strong commitment to adhering to project timelines and delivering high-quality results within specified deadlines.

 Understanding of the importance of timely completion of tasks and projects, with a proactive approach to addressing any obstacles or challenges that may arise.
