In addition, the Network Engineer will be responsible for the support of various VoIP solutions, Cisco's Call Manager, Nice In Contact, Jive, and related technologies. The Network Engineer will have the understanding and ability to implement and support the Nice In Contact and Jive cloud based VoIP solutions. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ongoing maintenance and advancement of the data network environment through effective engineering and implementation of solutions which support the user, application and strategic needs of the organization. In this capacity, the Network Engineer is part of the team responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and ongoing operational efforts of the data network environment. 2. Plan, Design, and Implement enterprise-wide data network architecture to efficiently deliver data securely, reliably, and application services to the Stamford Health System user constituency. This a includes the development of a fully redundant, secure, network architecture; management and administration of an enterprise IP addressing scheme; management and advancement of a secure Internet facility; management and advancement of perimeter security facility including, DMZ, Firewall, proxy, NAT, etc. 3. Assume responsibility for network related project efforts by coordinating with IS and other departments as necessary to ensure proper communication and execution. This includes design and architecture definition as appropriate, project planning, change management coordination, vendor integration and coordination, user / department communication / notification, etc. 4. Performs assigned tasks under the direction of their manager, Team Lead, Senior Network Engineer or a project manager as part of an assigned project initiative. 5. Gather information required for RFI's, RFP's or vendor proposals. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent technical training in supporting call centers and network administration. Minimum Requirements: - Minimum 2 years' experience with Networking and VoIP technologies - CCDP or CCNP is required. CCVP Is preferred but not required x - Minimum 2 years experience designing, implementing, and deploying Contact Centers - Knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, Cisco Best Practices. - Experience with multi-site network designs and support (LAN, MAN & WAN) - Knowledge on static and dynamic routing protocols.
