job summary: Tatum by Randstad has partnered with an organization that is seeking an Account Manager to join their team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for all elements of the month-end close process, supporting the development and maintenance of accounting principles and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, developing internal accounting controls, supporting the audit with our Big Four audit firm, and building a strong team. This role will report directly to the Controller, will play an instrumental role in the future of our organization, and is a full-time, exempt position. location: Plano, Texas job type: Permanent salary: $100,000 - 120,000 per year work hours: 8 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 5 Years responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently leading all accounting and month-end close activities, including required general ledger journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and allocationsPerforming analytical reviews of financial statements, variance analysis, and the preparation of internal and external reporting materialsImplementing and maintaining an effective Internal Control environment to ensure full compliance with all requirementsManaging the preparation of technical accounting whitepapers, policy changes and required process refinements to ensure full GAAP compliance for all monthly reporting periodsManaging and coordinating all audit activities with our Big Four audit firmPreparing consolidated financial statements and reports, and maintaining appropriate and accurate accounting records that support all transactionsMonitoring accounting pronouncements and if necessary, independently recommending changes to policies and procedures to ensure full GAAP complianceReviewing all accounting processes and workflows on a recurring basis, and if necessary, independently recommending changes to achieve more efficient and productive resultsManaging the implementation of all processes and workflow changes from start to finishSustaining professional certification and technical knowledge by attending educational workshopsStrong focus on team training and developmentManage the completion of ad hoc tasks as needed qualifications: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance/accountingCertified Public Accountant (CPA)7+ years of experience in the accounting and finance sector4+ years of experience managing accountants and the accounting and month and close process, preferably in the health care industryBig Four or national accounting firm audit experience is preferred ***For immediate consideration, email to natalie.killoran@tatum-us.com*** skills: $100-250 million Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
