job summary: A Technician Associate is needed for a world class utility company in the South Bend, IN area. This role analyzes utility poles using DDS software for grid modernization/rebuilds, tracks project timelines, ensures design quality by collaborating with teams, and applies technical knowledge to solve problems and improve processes. location: South Bend, Indiana job type: Contract salary: $21.12 - 23.23 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: High School responsibilities: Utilizes DDS software to analyze distribution utility poles for adding grid modernization equipment or performing line rebuilds related to transmission and station projects.Tracks due dates for assigned projects.Collaborates with the design team, PM's (Project Managers), and line coordinators to ensure design accuracy and high quality.Gains knowledge of relevant standards, codes, regulations, equipment, materials, systems, and business processes.Assists colleagues with defined portions of routine problems. Skills: Possesses basic computer literacy, knowledge, and skills.Performs work under the coaching of higher-level employees.Demonstrates the ability to collaborate and seek assistance.Plans work according to company standard practices.Prioritizes routine work to meet demands.Maintains accurate records.Applies technical knowledge and experience to resolve problems.Uses initiative to improve processes and increase job knowledge/skills.Seeks out, compiles, analyzes, and interprets information.
