We are seeking a 3rd Shift Section Supervisor to coordinate machine operations, lead production personnel, and directly troubleshoot injection molding processes on the manufacturing floor. This is a dynamic, floor-focused role requiring a blend of leadership ability and solid technical expertise.WHAT YOU WILL DO Hands-on Troubleshooting: Actively solve injection molding process and tooling issues right on the production floor. Team Leadership: Supervise, direct, and evaluate machine operators daily to ensure production schedules and safety standards are met. Operational Oversight: Monitor machinery based on production cards and inspection sheets, taking swift action to alleviate machine problems and minimize downtime. Maintenance & Setup: Assist setup personnel as needed to ensure absolute adherence to quality standards and cost-containment goals. Documentation: Complete paperwork to track production efficiencies and identify potential bottleneck areas. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Shift Availability: Must be available to work the 3rd Shift. Technical Experience: A minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience specifically within plastics injection molding. Process Tech Skills: Comprehensive, hands-on knowledge and demonstrated skill in setting molds, troubleshooting peripheral equipment, and managing resins. Blueprints & Tools: Ability to read/interpret blueprints and operate/maintain assembly equipment. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENT Duties are performed indoors across a fast-paced production floor. Candidates must be able to: Move continuously throughout the production floor to required workstations. Perform physical tasks including ascending/descending machines, retrieving objects at floor level, and positioning oneself to maintain or inspect equipment. Perform tasks at or above shoulder level and work with minute objects/tools. Distinguish colors, determine distances, and communicate clearly with the team to exchange accurate production data.
