We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team on a temporary, high-impact assignment as the Subject Matter Expert for their Large Form Assembly manufacturing operations. In this role, you won't just follow processes-you will architect the technical framework for complex, large-scale mechanical systems (structural frames, enclosures, piping, and pressure systems). You will bridge the gap between engineering design and factory execution, serving as a technical mentor to junior teams and the primary problem solver on the production floor. APPLY TODAY! location: Memphis, Tennessee job type: Contract salary: $49 - 53 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews during New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure complex systems are practical to build. Develop and maintain PFMEAs and structural risk assessments, specifically focusing on piping, fastening, and pressure containment systems. Define site-wide assembly methodologies, including torque validation, gasket/seal interfaces, and structural alignment techniques.Manage mechanical manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, drawings, BOMs, and ECN (Engineering Change Notice) discipline from ramp to sustaining phases. Serve as the final escalation point for complex floor issues, including component interference, tolerance stack-ups, vibration concerns, and fluid/air leaks.Simplify complex mechanical drawings into highly visual, trainable work instructions to scale operator capabilities. Lead lean initiatives (8D, DMAIC) to reduce defects, minimize warranty risks, and optimize labor efficiency (OLE).Partner with Electrical, Test, Controls, and Industrial Engineering teams to optimize station balancing and overall line flow.
