Position Overview We are seeking a highly adaptable, sharp, and resilient Hospital Staffing Coordinator to drive our daily staffing operations. Please note: this is not a standard administrative assistant role. This is a high-stakes, fast-paced position designed for a critical thinker who thrives under significant pressure and tight time constraints. You will be tasked with navigating complex union contracts and strict standard operating procedures to ensure our hospital is optimally staffed at all times. Key Responsibilities Daily Hospital Staffing: Actively manage and execute the daily staffing schedules for hospital personnel, ensuring all clinical and operational areas are adequately covered. Compliance & Protocol Adherence: Strictly follow highly specific standard work procedures and accurately apply complex union contract language during the scheduling and placement of staff. High-Pressure Problem Solving: Operate efficiently under significant time constraints to resolve unexpected call-offs, sudden shortages, and urgent scheduling changes. Customer Service & Communication: Serve as the central communication hub for staffing needs, delivering clear, efficient, and professional support to hospital leadership and internal staff. System Operations: Utilize Microsoft Office applications daily while quickly learning and adopting proprietary hospital scheduling systems. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: Approximately 2 years of related experience working directly in a staffing office environment is highly recommended. Technical Proficiency: strong, working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams. (Comprehensive training will be provided for all other internal systems). Work Environment & Schedule Details Shift Flexibility Required: The ideal candidate must be highly flexible and willing to work dynamic hours.
