Responsibilities include overseeing the financial close and the preparation of Financial Statements. Playing a crucial role in supervising and managing staff, financial policies, and processes. Lastly, the Controller ensures compliance with regulations, oversees the external audit, and handles other financial matters crucial to maintaining the Agency's financial health. The target compensation range for the position is between $85K - $90K depending on experience. ***This is an on-site position and the ideal candidate must reside in Las Vegas, NV.*** location: Las Vegas, Nevada job type: Permanent salary: $85,000 - 90,000 per year work hours: 8 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 2 Years responsibilities: Ensure timely closure of accounting periods, adhering to internal and external deadlines.Supervise assigned personnel and operational areas.Compile Financial Statements and accompanying schedules.Analyze and prepare financial reports and data.Coordinate the annual external audit.Oversee tax filings such as Form 990, 1099s, 941s, and W2s.Aid in crafting the annual budget.Uphold compliance and implement best practices, including internal controls.Manage Agency cash flow and generate cash forecast reports.Handle credit and banking relationships.Audit bi-weekly payroll processes.Administer expense allocation support.Direct real property, inventory, and lease accounting (ASC 842).Assist in scrutinizing and approving journal entries and reconciliations.Safeguard confidential information, company assets, and electronic data, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Undertake other pertinent duties as assigned and deemed suitable for the role. qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college is required; a CPA is preferred.A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role is required.
