As a Bankruptcy Specialist, you are first point of contact for bankruptcy attorneys and customers in bankruptcy. The Bankruptcy Specialist II ensures the Firm abides by all state and federal bankruptcy rules/laws. If you have at least 3 years of consecutive Bankruptcy experience and are well versed in Loss Mitigation then this is the role for you.salary: $19 - $20 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesAs a Bankruptcy Specialist, Job duties include: Monitor loans in Bankruptcy to ensure the debtor is in compliance with the bankruptcy plan which adheres to investor, state, federal and bankruptcy court guidelines/timeframes. Works with the Foreclosure, Loss Mitigation, Escrow Analysis, Taxes and the Insurance department communicating the bankruptcy status. Ensure Proof of Claims, Motions for Relief, Payment Change Notices, Post Petition Fees and Costs are prepared by counsel, are accurate and all aspects of the bankruptcy are handled according to investor guidelines and timeframes. Skills: 3 + years of current consecutive Bankruptcy experience, in all chapters and processes. Proven ability to read and evaluate bankruptcy documents filed with the courts including but not limited to Petitions, Plans and Motions. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask. Proven ability to communicate professionally across multiple departments and with all levels of individuals.
