The HR Clerk provides administrative support to the Human Resources department by assisting with a variety of clerical tasks related to employee records, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and compliance. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of HR functions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.salary: $18 - $20 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilitiesEnter new hires into Costpoint and Employee Navigator, State New Hire Reporting and eVerify. Learn to enter payroll changes, benefit premiums & 401(k) contributions into Costpoint each pay. Reconcile the benefit invoices each month and coordinate with Finance with any questions. Prepare new hire packages. Learn orientation procedure to serve as back-up. Follow up for missing forms from new hires. Follow up for missing forms if a new form has been implemented. Scan and electronically file new hire forms into Personnel Files. Learn benefits for any employee questions. Set up food truck schedule, advertise, make posters and post. Help to set up meetings for Operations – ordering lunch or purchasing refreshments, coordinate clean-up. Newsletter contributor (Employee Spotlight article & more). Ensure compliance posters are current and up-to-date – order and post when needed to physical areas, as well as SharePoint. Each year post new W-4 forms. Work with Safety Officer on workplace accidents and preparing accident reports. Make Welcome Signs for Visitors. Purchase, route cards for sympathy, get well, address and mail. Plan monthly birthdays, buy treats, supplies, make characters with names, set-up, clean-up. Help to plan annual and holiday events. Assist with other Employee Relations/Engagement type activities. Help to plan & coordinate events (showers, birthdays, parties).
