The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting under both GAAP and statutory accounting principles (SAP) for a large and growing company. This role involves financial statement preparation, regulatory reporting, general ledger management, and collaboration with auditors and regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in insurance accounting, a understanding of statutory insurance regulations, and proficiency in GAAP and SAP financial principles. MUST HAVE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING OR FINANCEsalary: $85,000 - $100,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilities- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and statutory accounting principles (SAP). - Ensure timely filing of statutory reports, including NAIC annual and quarterly statements and other regulatory filings. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FASB, NAIC, and state insurance department regulations affecting financial reporting. - Reconcile differences between GAAP and statutory financial reporting and prepare necessary adjustments.
