Randstad is seeking a Accounting Analyst to support the accounting, analysis, and reporting of employee benefit plans across union and non-union groups. This role is ideal for someone who loves digging into data, reconciling complex benefit transactions, and ensuring financial accuracy across COBRA, Life, Disability, FSA, and HSA plans. The analyst will collaborate with Accounting, HR, Legal, and external vendors to reconcile benefit payments, validate payroll and vendor interfaces, and support audits. Reconcile benefit payments to the general ledger; log and clear pending adjustments; communicate discrepancies to Accounting, Audit, and Management. Manage weekly vendor interfaces and ensure data accuracy in benefit and payroll files. Process COBRA payments and cost center allocations; audit vendor activity and ensure compliance with notice requirements. Lead or support benefit plan audits; coordinate data collection and meetings with Legal, Controller, and external auditors. Build and analyze ad hoc reports, census data, payroll deductions, and benefit accruals using Excel and HRIS tools. Partner with HR and Benefits to ensure system accuracy and compliance within HRIS platforms (SAP preferred). Support annual enrollment, mergers/acquisitions, and union implementations.  Required:   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field. 3+ years of accounting, analytical, and reporting experience focused on benefits administration (union & non-union). Hands-on experience with benefit plan reconciliations, contract/SPD review, and union invoice analysis. Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables; macros a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
