In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and setup of critical manufacturing assets, including dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges. You will play a vital role in ensuring our production lines remain operational by troubleshooting complex mechanical issues and performing precision alterations to maintain high-quality standards Shift & Schedule: Core Hours: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM | Monday – Thursday (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!) Overtime: Flexibility is required for weekday OT or Friday shifts as production needs arise. Training Note: Initial onboarding and training will occur on First Shift. Repair, replace, and adjust components, followed by trial runs to ensure functionality. Changeovers & Setup: Work from the production schedule to stage dies for housing side and utility presses. Perform complete teardowns and detail swaps to accommodate different part runs. Precision Machining: Utilize manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders to alter or repair tools and templates. Quality Control: Interpret technical blueprints and use precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, and verniers) to verify that parts meet exact tolerances. System Documentation: Manage work orders and track labor/inventory transactions using the EAM system. Floor Support: Assist with die setting at the presses and operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes. Qualifications Proven experience in tool and die repair within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Hands-on experience with manual machining (mill, lathe, grinder). Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely.
