job summary: A Build Technician is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. The Build Technician organization supports engineering teams by constructing test stations, assembling multi-pin cables and connectors, and ensuring manufacturability of designs through collaboration and adherence to industry standards.   location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa job type: Contract salary: $22.23 - 34.34 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: High School   responsibilities: Provide test station build support for research, design, development, or manufacturing activities.Read engineering drawings and utilize lookup tools for construction tasks.Construct multi-pin cables and connectors, panels, fixtures, and integrated racks.Verify cable continuity and document design modifications.Assist engineers in developing new engineering processes and products, recommending design changes under supervision.Participate as a member of the design team, communicating effectively.Understand and follow written/verbal instructions from customers. Skills: Experience in reading engineering drawings and using lookup tools.Proficiency in multi-pin cable and connector construction, and panel and fixture construction.Familiarity with integrated rack installation. Desired Skills: IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-J-STD-006 for soldering electronic assemblies or industry equivalent.
