job summary: Well established, reputable and growing manufacturer is looking for a promotable Mechanical Engineer in the Monroe, NC area. This is not a remote or hybrid position, all candidates must be willing to work 100% of the time in a manufacturing plant. This role comes with a very competitive compensation plan commensurate with experience with a base salary ranging from $80k to $95k plus relocation assistance and the opportunity to work in a flag ship and growing plant. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. location: Monroe, North Carolina job type: Permanent salary: $80,000 - 95,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: -Responsible for performing engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives. -Responsible for generating bills of materials for all product designs utilizing conventional types of plans and specifications. -Performs design calculations and prepares equipment or material specifications. -Creates/describes design procedures and specifications leading to construction documents. -Estimates production times and related costs to provide information for management/commercial decisions. -Responsible for supporting the Operations Team by developing manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components. -Transitions products from product development to production. -Support other functions (Quality, Sales, etc.) in order to satisfy customer needs and resolve issues. -Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities: -Ability to create designs using relevant design software. -Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes. -Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. -Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly productive environment where projects and direction can change quickly while creating thorough and detailed designs and documentation. -Skilled in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form. -Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate in individual and group settings. -Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
