job summary: An Architectural Designer is needed for an engineering consulting company 2 days as week in one of the following cities: Fort Worth, TX Cary, NC, Philadelphia PA, Denver CO, Chicago IL, Greenville SC, Omaha, NE, Arlington, VA, Phoenix, AZ. This role will be accountable for technical quality and schedule while independently applying advanced architectural techniques, leading small design teams, performing robust quality control, and supporting field construction efforts. location: Fort Worth, Texas job type: Contract salary: $53.84 - 81.73 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Serve as the Architect/Architectural Designer within a highly interactive, multi-discipline team, collaborating with clients and subcontractors on data center and mission-critical facility design.Be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks within scope and budget.Lead the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products.Independently apply advanced architectural techniques and analysis, performing all aspects of design with little to no supervision.Develop designs requiring innovation and ingenuity.Plan and conduct work requiring judgment, evaluation, selection, and adaptation of architectural techniques and criteria.Perform quality control, including calculation checking of others' work and participating in/championing internal and external quality reviews.Collaborate on the development of layout, technical design, construction drawings, specifications, and model creation.Attend project meetings to actively resolve concerns and solve problems across all disciplines. Skills: Professional Architectural License (ability to be licensed in multiple states).REVIT (Expert-level proficiency).AutoCAD (Expert-level proficiency).Sketchup (Expert-level proficiency).Adobe Suite (Expert-level proficiency).Expert Building Codes knowledge (specifically for industrial facilities).Proficiency in developing Proposals, Budgets, and Schedules.strong Leadership (ability to lead small architectural teams).
