A client of ours located in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This position is responsible for managing the full-cycle litigation support process, ensuring the accurate preparation and filing of legal pleadings, and maintaining seamless communication between attorneys, clients, and courts throughout the lifecycle of a case. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle complex discovery requests, resolve intricate trial preparation discrepancies, and ensure all strict court deadlines are met with precision and integrity. This role is key in streamlining case management workflows and contributing to the overall success of the firm’s trial practice. Managing Financial Disclosure & Discovery: Assisting clients in gathering mandatory disclosures, compiling extensive financial documents for asset and debt division, and drafting Financial Affidavits and answers to Interrogatories. Kentucky Court E-Filing & Procedure: Routinely filing motions, notices, and final orders electronically through the Kentucky Court of Justice (KCOJ) eFiling system, ensuring strict adherence to the local rules of the Jefferson County Family Court. Case File Management & Scheduling: Maintaining the firm’s master calendar by coordinating and scheduling family court hearings, case management conferences, depositions, and mandatory mediation sessions. Client Intake & Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, conducting initial intake interviews to gather sensitive background data, and providing regular status updates on their cases. Trial & Hearing Preparation: Organizing trial notebooks, compiling witness lists, preparing physical and digital evidence/exhibits, and calculating Kentucky child support guidelines using specialized family law software.
