Position Overview A dual-capacity role is available for a detail-oriented professional to manage the movement and tracking of premium aluminum and stainless steel products. This position requires a high level of proficiency in heavy-duty forklift operation combined with technical accuracy in inventory management. The successful candidate ensures that material flow supports high-speed production lines and meets rigorous quality standards.Primary Responsibilities Material Handling: Operates heavy-capacity forklifts and specialized side-loaders to transport metal coils and sheets. Responsibilities include loading and unloading flatbed trailers and ensuring the secure placement of materials in a high-density warehouse. Inventory Accuracy: Performs real-time data entry using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners. Maintains precise records of material locations, alloy types, and heat numbers to ensure 100% traceability. Production Support: Supplies raw materials to slitting, shearing, and processing equipment. Retrieves and tags finished goods for immediate shipment or storage according to production schedules. Quality Assurance: Inspects incoming and outgoing shipments for surface defects or transit damage. Verifies that all material certifications and packing slips align with physical stock and industry standards. Stock Management: Conducts frequent cycle counts and physical audits of metal inventory. Organizes storage layouts to maximize space efficiency and facilitate "Just-in-Time" (JIT) delivery requirements. Safety & Maintenance: Ensures daily pre-shift equipment inspections. Maintains a clean, organized workspace and adheres to all OSHA and facility-specific safety protocols. Required Qualifications Valid forklift certification with documented experience handling oversized or heavy-gauge industrial materials. Proficiency in digital inventory tracking software and basic office applications. Competence in reading precision measurement tools and interpreting material specifications. Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment requiring physical stamina and attention to detail.
