job summary: Our client, a leading provider in the critical infrastructure and utilities sector, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their regional operations team. This is a pivotal role for a technical leader who thrives in high-stakes, regulated environments where network reliability and security are the highest priorities. In this role, you will be the architect and guardian of a complex multi-segment infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between long-term strategy and hands-on execution, ensuring that LAN/WAN, VPN, and virtualization platforms remain optimized, compliant, and future-ready. location: Tampa, Florida job type: Permanent salary: $120,000 - 125,000 per year work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Network Architecture & Strategic Design Lead the planning and execution of complex network architectures, including multi-segment infrastructure and secure VPN systems.Drive long-term network strategy and modernization efforts, including the implementation of cloud-based solutions.Conduct advanced capacity planning and traffic analysis to ensure maximum uptime and system reliability. Infrastructure Operations & Maintenance Install, configure, and manage high-level hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.Oversee physical infrastructure and structured cabling (voice/data), ensuring meticulous documentation and environmental diagrams are maintained.Manage virtualization platforms and support critical communication system upgrades.
