Director, Software Development - internal position at Randstad General Partner (US) LLC - Atlanta, GAMust have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.Job Duties: Direct and oversee the software development function in developing, releasing, and maintaining software products according to the business needs. Manage multiple software development teams supporting different products. Develop, support, enforce, and integrate best practices and standards across the functional organization. Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the managed functional area and develop budget, policies, and procedures to support the functional area. Work closely with business stakeholders and other IT leaders to ensure alignment with the business goals and strategies. Direct managers and other subordinate staff and guide their career progression. Establish and enforce software development best practices and standards including information security and data protection across the functional organization. Collaborate with other leaders and stakeholders to ensure organizational alignment with the business goals and strategies. Develop budget, policies, and procedures to support the functional area. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 10 years of progressive experience in software development (Design/Build/Unit Test/Migrate); 5 years of system architecture, application architecture, technical design (e.g. API first design, event driven architecture, architectural patterns, security first architecture, etc.); 5 years of agile software development methodology; 3 years of managing and mentoring of Software Application Developers; and 3 years of Cloud technology and infrastructure including containerization, serverless, event messaging, and RESTful API interface (e.g. Kubernetes, PubSub, CloudEndpoints or Apigee).
