Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for making sure employees are properly performing their duties that affect food safety and quality of products produced at the facility. In addition, but not limited to: Operates mixer as required following the Manufacturing Operating Procedures and Standard. Perform all work in accordance with company standards and established safety procedures. Learn and understand all equipment within the mixing room operation. Ensure that all employees, visitors, etc. follow the company’s Accident Prevention Rules. Isolate any product which will not meet the established quality standards or may cause a food safety hazard if eaten. Notify the quality assurance department of any such problem and record an appropriate document. Make sure employees are following GMP’s, and keep their area clean at all times. Monitor and report immediately any Food Safety or foreign material issues affecting the line to the Quality Assurance Officer. Minimize waste and maximize efficiency by keeping product off the floor and keeping the machines running. Train and direct laborers in their various jobs, in a way which will promote safety, quality, and productivity. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: This position requires a person experienced and/or ability in the following: Knowledge of the Bakery ingredients, formulations and recipes. Supervisory experience and understanding the proper procedures of a high-volume mixing room and meeting required production schedule requirements. Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Communication Skills, Time Management Skills and Self-Motivation. High School Education or Equivalency Required. Professional appearance and presentation required. Knowledge of the mixing process, procedures, and machinery. Must have complete understanding of the function and operation of a Bakery Mixing room. Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Allergen Control Program. Job Type - Full-time: Work will include early morning and weekend schedules to be able to facilitate production of goods. This position may require working overtime to meet deadlines.
